Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA)

GTA and HEAT busesThe Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) and Higher Education Area Transit (HEAT) will continue to operate along existing routes, which already include many of the areas to be annexed. GTA will look for opportunities to expand service in the remaining areas.

Specialized Community Area Transportation (SCAT), a paratransit service for persons with special needs, has recently expanded to include all areas within the City limits. Newly annexed areas will automatically become eligible for SCAT service.
