Enjoying books is a family activity at the GPLThe Greensboro Public Library is the official library system of Guilford County. The Central Library is located at 219 North Church Street. In addition to Central Library, there are six branch libraries that provide diverse collections, services and facilities.

The Library offers a large collection of reading, listening and viewing materials, as well as free programs for children and adults, reference and information services, and free classes on topics such as computers, genealogy, and starting a business. You can also request presentations by speakers who can address a variety of topics from North Carolina history to books for children. The Library Department also includes the Greensboro Historical Museum.
