Planning
The Planning Department administers the Connections 2025 Comprehensive Plan and the Development Ordinance. The department also enforces zoning codes, and processes development review cases for the Zoning Commission, Planning Board, Board of Adjustment and Advisory Committee on Trees.
In addition, the Planning Department handles annexation cases and performs planning, zoning, and corridor studies. The Planning Department also provides information to residents and community groups on Greensboro’s zoning, land use, demographics and socio-economic data.
