The Greensboro Police Department (GPD) is a full-serivce law enforcement agency providing services to protect the lives and property of Greensboro residents. Police services begin on the first day of annexation. In case of an emergency, call 911.

The GPD is a community policing organization dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Police officers work closely with residents to address crime, traffic, and quality of life concerns in neighborhoods. Educational and crime prevention services and programs for both children and adults are also available to residents.

The GPD is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
