The Greensboro Bicentennial Commission has planned a variety of events to celebrate Greensboro's 200th birthday. The official celebration lasts from March 25 through May 17, 2008. The dates correspond to those in 1808 when the land was sold for the founding of the city and when the sale became final.
The celebration begins with a Torch Relay and Opening Ceremony from March 25-28. The four-day relay will end at NewBridge Bank Park.
