Green Girls – Healthy Ecosystems: Dragonflies as Indicator Species

  • CostFree

June 27, 1:00 – 5:00pm
Bur-Mil Park, Greensboro, NC

The City's Water Resources Department offers this hands-on environmental science program to introduce rising middle-school girls to a possible career in science and research in a practical, hands-on way. Water Resources Public Education Coordinator Laine Roberts and other department staff lead the program.

Join us as we explore ecosystems, indicator species, and learn how dragonflies indicate ecosystem health. We’ll also observe dragonflies in their natural habitat, so bring your binoculars!

In case of rain, the starting time of this event may be delayed, but the ending time will not change.

This is the fifth of a five-part program. Registration is required and deadline to register is noon Thursday, June 26. Additional details provided after registration.
