About “Sweet Medicine: An Elixir of Hope and Healing”
The one-woman show “Sweet Medicine: An Elixir of Hope and Healing” performed by Sage Chioma, is a powerful artistic work combining poetry, storytelling, movement, and visual imagery to create a deeply transformative experience. As a wise woman elder with over three decades of long-term recovery, Sage Chioma brings a unique depth of insight and compassion to her work. Drawing from her poetry book "Earth is a Mother's Hood" and inspired by the concept of the wounded healer and the hero's journey, Sage Chioma weaves a narrative that reflects resilience, recovery, and collective healing.
