The "Ready Readers" program is a monthly event for young readers that highlights popular book series that children love. Each event includes selections read aloud by the librarian from favorite books, followed by a craft or activity, and book recommendations.
This month’s featured author is Mac Barnett, who will be visiting Greensboro this month! Mac Barnett is the current National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. Come hear his award-winning picture book Extra Yarn read aloud, watch a video of Leo the Ghost, and learn more about Mac Barnett's many other fantastic books! You can also learn to finger knit to make a yarn Loch Ness Monster or a yarn Halloween spider.
This program is recommended for ages 5 - 8, but all ages are welcome.
