Laura Carney, author of My Father’s List, shares her journey of completing the life list left behind by her late father—a story of grief, growth, and honoring a parent’s dreams. Curtis Chin, in his memoir Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant, offers a poignant and humorous look at growing up in Detroit in the 1980s as a gay Chinese American kid—where the family restaurant served as both sanctuary and battleground. Zelda Lockhart, author of Trinity, weaves a multigenerational novel that centers on the voices of Black women and the family legacies they inherit and redefine.
