The City’s Planning Department is launching a planning process for the Spring Garden Street corridor. The plan encompasses the area along Spring Garden Street, from South Holden Road to South Josephine Boyd Street. Residents, business owners, and frequent visitors of the area may attend a drop-in open house from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 16, at Lindley Park Recreation Center, 2907 Springwood Dr.
The first of many public input opportunities, this open house offers a chance for residents to learn about and give feedback on the project. The ultimate goal of this planning process is for City staff and residents to work closely together to plan for the future of the corridor.
This initiative is part of the City’s effort to work with area residents to study critical issues and creative solutions to improve the area’s quality of life and guide its future growth. Once developed and adopted, the Spring Garden Corridor Plan will help City staff, residents, business owners, and decision makers lead the way into a more prosperous, safe, and closely-knit community.
