Public Hearing Set to Receive Comments About City's Annual HUD Funding Action Plan
The public is invited to offer comments to the Greensboro Planning Board at its March 21 meeting about the City's FY 2018-19 Annual Action Plan for federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding. The board's meeting begins at 4 pm in Council Chamber, Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St. The current draft plan is now available online. Need a hard copy? Call 336-373-2349.
The Annual Action Plan is considered the application for HUD funding and outlines how the City will use anticipated Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), and Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME) money to address needs in Greensboro and neighboring HOME Consortium member jurisdictions. The plan will include programs and projects proposed for July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The City will submit its plan to HUD on or before May 15.
