Parks and Recreation Hosts Plan2Play Community Conversation May 17
Greensboro Parks and Recreation will hold the second Plan2Play Community Conversation from 5-8 pm, Thursday, May 17, at the Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion at Barber Park, 1500 Dans Rd. This is a drop-in session, and residents may attend at any time.
Plan2Play is Parks and Recreation’s 2038 Master Plan, a map for community recreation for the next 20 years. At this Community Conversation, the consulting group Agency Landscape + Planning will showcase concepts for what the department could look like in the future. Residents will also get the chance to share their ideas about Parks and Recreation.
Public participation is an important part of Plan2Play. Residents who cannot attend the May 17 meeting may take the latest online survey, which asks which park amenities residents would like to see. It is available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/Plan2PlayAmenitySurvey. One survey participant will win four tickets to the Greensboro Science Center.
