Sewer Rehabilitation Project to Close Several Roads Beginning September 30

From Monday, September 30, through Friday, October 18, the following areas will have occasional lane closures due to sewer rehabilitation work. These closures are part of the North Buffalo Rehabilitation Project.

Day Lane Closures from 9 am to 4 pm:

  • S. Spring Street southbound between W. Market Street  and W. Washington Street 
  • N. Greene Street southbound between E. Friendly Avenue and Bellemeade Street 
  • W. Market Street eastbound between Tate Street and College Place
  • W. Friendly Avenue eastbound between Ridgeway Drive and W. Greenway Drive N.
  • Muirs Chapel Road northbound between Meade Drive and Tara Drive.

Night Lane Closures from 7 pm to 6 am:

  • W. Market Street eastbound between Tate Street and College Place
  • S. Spring Street southbound between W. Washington Street and W. McGee Street 
  • S. Edgeworth Street northbound between W. Washington Street and McGee Street 
  • Josephine Boyd Road southbound between Cobb Street and Oakland Avenue
  • Muirs Chapel Road westbound between Meade Drive and Tara Drive 
  • W. Gate City Boulevard eastbound between Tate Street and Fulton Street. 

Signs and traffic cones will be in place and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid these areas. Dates and times may change due to weather or last-minute changes in the work schedule. Questions? Call Jay Guffey at 336-373-7779.
