City Seeks Residents’ Opinions of E-scooters and Other Micromobility Devices
Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) is surveying residents about micromobility as it reevaluates its electric scooter pilot program. Residents can take the survey online.
GDOT will include the survey results in a report about this year’s e-scooter pilot program and present their findings to City Council in late 2019. If Council decides to continue allowing shared micromobility programs in the City, a request for proposals for new operation permits will be released in 2020.
The City of Greensboro permits Lime to offer scooter rentals within the City limits. GDOT Lime’s active e-scooter permit was extended until the future of the program is decided.
