Greensboro Parks and Recreation will celebrate the unveiling of its new, professionally designed Keeley Park disc golf course with the Fall Back Classic, a fun and casual disc golf tournament, from 9 am to 2 pm, Saturday, November 2 at 4100 Keeley Rd., McLeansville. The course will be officially open to the public following the tournament.
This will be a non-Professional Disc Golf Association, flex start, casual tournament with three men’s divisions and two women’s divisions for both new and competitive players. There are prizes for first, second, and third place finishers. It costs $15 to register, and registration includes a player pack of disc golf swag worth $24. Register online.
The tournament is offered in partnership with INNOVA Disc Golf, the course designers. Greensboro Parks and Recreation built the course with funds from a $250,000 Land and Water Conservation Fund grant as part of Phase II of Keely Park development, which will include a renovated playground, sprayground, and community garden. A Phase II groundbreaking will take place later this year
