Postponed: Parks and Recreation Hosts Trotter Active Adult Center Grand Opening March 13

Residents are invited to celebrate Parks and Recreation’s grand opening for the revitalized Trotter Active Adult Center at 10 am, Friday, March 13, 3906 Betula St. Trotter Community Recreation Center has undergone renovations, as well as a change to an Active Adult Center with a new focus on programs and activities for adults 50 years old and older.
“The department is extremely excited about the grand opening of the newly renovated and rebranded Trotter Active Adult Center at Hester Park. This facility will help the City continue to meet the ever growing need and demand for more active adult spaces, programs, and activities in Greensboro,” said Parks and Recreation Director Nasha McCray. “The new facility aligns with the department’s vision of ‘Enhance, Expand, Connect,’ but it also illustrates the department and City’s commitment to provide a second recreational facility and programs geared towards our older, active adults in western Greensboro.”
The center will include a renovated fitness room, new computer lab and lounge, and more. The grand opening will be followed by an open house from 10:30 am to 1 pm. There will be exercise demos, facility tours, and entertainment.
