March 25 Parks and Recreation Operational Changes Announced
Effective immediately, Greensboro Parks and Recreation has made the following operational changes due to COVID-19 concerns.
Today’s updated emergency declaration allows for residents engage in outdoor activities at City park facilities and trails as long as residents comply with social distancing requirements, such as keeping a six-foot distance between individuals. Some park facilities will have special requirements to meet these standards. See below for additional details.
Offices & Indoor Facilities
All indoor facilities are closed to the public. This includes Parks and Recreation Administrative Headquarters, 1001 Fourth St., Parks Operations Division Facility, 320 E. Friendly Ave., and park and lake offices.

Additional measures will be taken to ensure proper social distancing and the health and safety of staff and patrons, including limiting rentals to one golfer per carts; limiting how many people can enter pro shops at one time; cleaning golf carts after each use; and staff wearing gloves for all transactions.
The Gillespie Grill will operate 10 am to 3 pm for take-out services only.
