City Asks for Public Input on CARES Act Funding for Housing Issues
Interested in how the City may spend the funding received under the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act?
The Neighborhood Development Department is asking residents to review and comment on these two printable documents:
- Citizen Participation Plan (Spanish), which describes what the City will do to encourage public input in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding processes
- Substantial Amendment to FY 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan, which is required by HUD when projects and funds change significantly in a fiscal year.
Please email written comments about these plans to Caitlin Bowers or call in verbal comments to 336-433-7266 by 11:59 pm Monday, May 18. All comments will be considered prior to any further action by the City towards implementing these plans.
Anyone requiring an interpreter or other services in order to participate in any related public process should contact Neighborhood Development at 336-373-2349. Servicios de traducción disponibles en español. (Translation services are available in Spanish).
