The City is requesting proposals (RFPs) from housing developers who have submitted a preliminary application to the NC Housing Finance Agency for 2022 Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (nine percent and tax-exempt bond with four percent) to develop multi-family rental housing.
This RFP for affordable housing development will award approximately $2.5 million using the federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program and City Housing Bonds for new rental housing units, rehabilitation of existing rental housing units, conversion of non-residential buildings to rental housing use, or any combination of these.
Proposals are due by 5 pm March 15 and will be evaluated according to a point ranking system to prioritize projects.
