Telecommunicator Wins Award for Outstanding Service

GREENSBORO, NC – (April 17, 2008) – Guilford Metro 9-1-1 has announced that Candy Strezinski, a GM9-1-1 supervisor, is the recipient of the 2008 Telecommunicator Achievement Award.

This honor recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in assisting with emergency and non-emergency calls for the more than 450,000 residents and estimated 100,000 daily visitors to the Greensboro / Guilford County area. Guilford Metro handles approximately 420,000 dispatches, 900,000 phone transactions, and 3.6 million radio transmissions each year.

The selection of the Telecommunicator of the Year coincides with National Telecommunicators Week, April 13-19, and with National 9-1-1 Education Month. For more information, contact the Guilford Metro at 336-373-2933.
