In a continuing effort to increase the supply of affordable and supportive housing in the community, the City of Greensboro has purchased the former Regency Inn Hotel property located at 2701 North O Henry Blvd. The existing structure will be demolished, and the City will welcome proposals from prospective developers to create an active and vibrant location that serves the community.
Demolition of the structure is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 28, and is expected to take two to three weeks. Residents and businesses in the immediate area should anticipate heavy equipment traveling to and from the site during this time.
A Request for Proposals for the development of the property will be released during the week of October 28 – November 1. For additional information, please contact Director of Housing Development Michelle Kennedy at 336-209-6771.
