The City’s Planning Department recently wrapped up a
productive year of homebuilding activity in several Greensboro neighborhoods. Projects by the Redevelopment Commission of Greensboro (RCG) and the Greensboro Housing Development Partnership (GHDP) implemented adopted redevelopment plans and produced quality new houses.
Some 2024 highlights included:

Building in neighborhoods such as Willow Oaks, Cottage Grove, Arlington Park, Eastside Park, and Ole Asheboro

The construction of 28 homes in Willow Oaks, where 13 additional development sites are under construction

Nine new builders were brought on board
The RCG and GHDP’s work in redevelopment areas contributes to the City’s ongoing effort to offer an abundance of affordable housing as growth continues.
