About “Sonnet Fest”
As the final celebration of Creative Greensboro Drama Programming’s 56th season, Sonnet Fest will explore the theatrical possibilities of Shakespeare’s famous poetry by featuring works inspired by or penned by the world’s most revered playwright. Four different groups of performers will each occupy a floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center, using the public spaces as a stage to bring sonnets 1-50 to life. Each group will perform synchronously, and the audience will rotate after each performance, enabling them to see all 50 sonnets over the course of the festival event.
