West Washington Street Intersection Closure Begins September 8

Beginning on Monday, September 8, West Washington Street, at the intersection of South Greene Street, will be closed weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm until Friday, September 26. The closure is due to waterline work as part of the Greene Street streetscape project. w washington st and south greene intersection sept 5

Please note that work will stop and the road will reopen by 4 pm on Thursday, September 11, in preparation for the North Carolina Folk Festival. Work will resume at 9 am on Monday, September 15. 

Motorists should expect delays around the work area and use alternate routes. 

Work schedules depend on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
