Post Date:10/29/2025 2:32 PM

The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is starting its holiday programming with its Santa Mail initiative and Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive.

Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive

From Monday, November 3, through Monday, December 1, Greensboro Parks and Recreation will be accepting donations of gently used and new toys for families in need as a part of the Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive. Organized by the Greensboro Youth Council (GYC), the program partners with local agencies to collect, clean, and distribute toys to children throughout the community. Dedicated volunteers carefully clean gently used toys, ensuring every gift is ready for a new home.

Toys, bikes, electronics, and more for children ages 6 months to 13 years can be dropped off at the following sites:

Lindley Recreation Center, 2907 Springwood Dr.

Griffin Recreation Center, 5301 Hilltop Rd., Jamestown

Glenwood Recreation Center, 2010 Coliseum Blvd.

Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, 1420 Price Park Dr.

Andrews High School, 1920 McGuinn Dr., High Point

Santa Mail

Looking to get a letter to Santa this holiday season? Greensboro Parks and Recreation will help, as the department will be collecting letters from Monday, November 3, through Sunday, November 30, at its two mailboxes located at Griffin Recreation Center, 5301 Hilltop Rd., Jamestown, and the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St.

The department will also be accepting Santa letters via email at santa.claus@greensboro-nc.gov.

The Parks and Recreation Departments asks that children include a return address, so Santa can write them back.
