Beginning on Monday, December 1, various downtown lanes will be closed weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm until Friday, December 19, for resurfacing work related to the Davie Street streetscape project. 

Resurfacing work will cause closures of various lanes, intersections, and parking areas in the following areas: 

• South Davie Street from East Market Street to East McGee Street 

• East Market Street from North Elm Street to the eastern limits of the intersection of South Davie Street 

• East Washington Street from North Elm Street to the J. Douglas Galyon Depot driveway entrance 

• East McGee Street from South Elm Street to the railroad Tracks 

Motorists should expect delays around the work area and use alternate routes. 

Work schedules depend on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
