Holiday Fun at the Greensboro History Museum December 6

Join the Holiday Kick-off Celebration from 11 am-4:30 pm, Saturday, December 6 at the Greensboro History Museum, 130 Summit Ave. Museum staff will offer fun, hands-on activities for young and old to celebrate the Downtown Greensboro Holiday Parade.

Everyone is welcome to warm up inside the museum with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies. Visitors can learn about holiday traditions in Greensboro, discover the science and art of snowflakes, and more. There will be special visits with Mrs. Claus from 1-2 pm and Santa Claus from 2-4:30 pm.

The Annual Mousetastical Mouse Hunt featuring adorable felt mice hiding all around the museum runs through January 4. Visitors of all ages can explore the museum to find these elusive critters and receive a special treat.

Visitors will also have a chance to explore the new exhibition, GHM100: Treasures. Legacies. Remix. This special exhibition is a lively look at the museum’s 100-year history, its remarkable collections, and its deep roots in the Greensboro community. Treasures spotlights an eye-catching selection of invaluable collections. Legacies looks at people whose choices have shaped the Museum’s mission, activities, and impact across 100 years. Remix invites visitors to choose from hundreds of objects to virtually create and share their own unique exhibit. All activities and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
