40th Annual Shopper’s Day Set for December 11

Post Date:12/03/2025 12:02 PM

The Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities’ 40th-annual Shopper’s Day will take place 10:30 am to 1 pm on Thursday, December 11, at Four Seasons Town Centre, 410 Four Seasons Town Centre.

Shopper’s Day brings together hundreds of individuals with disabilities and volunteers – many of whom are local high school students – for a day of holiday cheer and shopping. The event aims to promote empathy, acceptance, and compassion, while creating awareness of the daily challenges people with disabilities face. The Mayor’s Committee provides refreshments, free gift wrap, visits with Santa (and pictures with Santa if they choose), entertainment, and gives each shopper $10 to help with their shopping or lunch.

For more information, contact Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation Coordinator Sharon Williams at Sharon.Williams@greensboro-nc.gov or 336-373-2954.

The Mayor's Committee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit coalition of businesses, human service agencies, and individuals of all levels of abilities with the mission to create a barrier-free community.
