Residents and business owners along Randleman Road can learn about the City of Greensboro’s revitalization plans for the area at a community event from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 10, at the East Market Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 101 W. Vandalia Rd.

The ‘‘Tis the Season Holiday Celebration’ offers community members an opportunity to learn more about the Randleman Road Phase 2 Plan. The plan builds on the progress and recommendations of the initial phase, which focused primarily on transportation improvements and encouraging reinvestment. City Planning Department staff will discuss the plan’s second phase, which involves public safety initiatives like Flock Safety cameras, code compliance enforcement and cleanup, and enhanced lighting.

Phase 2 covers a 2.3-mile stretch of the Randleman Road area from the I-40 interchange on the north to the City’s southern border.

Phase 2 is part of GSO2040, the City’s comprehensive plan. Plans like Randleman Road Phase 2 bring the larger strategy to life by applying its principles to a specific, smaller geography and focusing on local concerns.
