GREENSBORO, NC (March 23, 2026) – Greensboro Police have arrested and charged a man with first-degree murder after the city’s third homicide of the year.
Passhion Michael Barr, 36, faces multiple charges in connection with the death of Danny Eugene Williams, 72.

 

On Sunday, at approximately 4:26 p.m., Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to the 3300 block of North O’Henry Boulevard and located Williams in an apartment, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound. Life-saving efforts were initiated; however, Williams died of his injuries at the scene.

 

During the investigation, Barr was identified as the suspect and was located and arrested by GPD's VCRT in the 3300 block of Trent Street in Greensboro. In addition to first-degree murder, Barr was charged with possession of a concealed gun, resisting arrest, and two drug-related charges.

 

Barr remains in the Guilford County Jail without bond.

 

Williams’ next-of-kin have been notified.
