Greensboro Planning Department’s annual report on key economic measures is now available online. The Growth and Development Trends Report covers recent local, regional, and national trends in metrics like population density, demographics, income rates, and more.  

Highlights from the report include:  

• Last year saw a record-breaking $1.185 billion invested in construction, based on building permit valuations. 

• There is a continued increase in the number of area jobs and wages. 

• Greensboro outranks state and national averages in higher educational attainment rates. 

“Greensboro is creating new investment, new homes, new businesses, and new opportunities,” Interim Planning Director Russ Clegg said. “We will continue to foster and guide quality development as we navigate the Road to 10,000.”
