Creative Greensboro will host an interactive, family-friendly National Poetry Month event from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, April 15, on the second floor atrium at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St., in partnership with Greensboro’s newly appointed Poet Laureate, James Daniels.
The evening will include a poetry open mic hosted by Nyabi the Great, music curated by DJ SOS, a literary vendor fair featuring local authors and booksellers along with representatives from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina State Agricultural and Technical State University’s creative writing departments, a hip hop cypher (freestyle session), and family-friendly poetry activities. Signups for the open mic will take place in-person at the event.
