Annual City Paving Projects Continue May 18-22

Sections of streets will undergo various stages of resurfacing that will affect traffic flow in those areas. Specific streets affected, and for what work, are listed below. These jobs are part of the City’s 2026 road paving projects and publicized weekly. 

Projects happening from May 18-22 

The following will involve alternate lanes or full road closures from 7 am to 6 pm. 

  • All of Fleming Terrace Circle – Raising structures 

  • All of Fleming Terrace Rd. – Raising structures 

  • Boeing Dr. from Regional Rd. to W. Market St. – Raising structures  

  • Cessna Dr. from Regional Rd. to Gallimore Dairy Rd. – Raising structures    

  • All of Friendship Dr. – Raising structures 

  • Friendway Rd. from W. Market St to W. Friendly Ave. – Milling and raising structures  

  • Swing Rd. from W. Market St. to the end – Milling and raising structures 

  • Cheltenham Blvd. from Celeste Dr. to Lionne Dr. – Milling and raising structures 

  • All of Cheltenham Ct. – Milling and raising structures 

  • All of Lionne Dr. – Milling and raising structures 

  • Cypress Park Rd. from S. Holden Rd. to Pinecroft Rd. – Milling and raising structures 

  • West Ave. from Boulevard St. to Merritt Dr. – Milling and raising structures 

  • Avery Pl. from Pembroke Rd. to Fairway Dr. – Paving       

  • Fairway Dr. from Benjamin Pkwy. to Pembroke Rd. – Paving      

The following will involve alternate lanes or full road closures from 9 am to 4 pm.       

  • Benjamin Pkwy. from W. Wendover Ave. to Westmoreland Dr. – Paving    

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid work areas, follow detour signs, and adhere to traffic flagger directions. 

Work schedules for each job depend on weather conditions and material/equipment availability.
