In honor of Historic Preservation Month, the City’s Historic Preservation Commission presented its second annual Historic District Awards of Excellence.   

At its May 27 meeting, the commission recognized the following residents and businesses for excellence in repair, restoration, and rehabilitation projects in Greensboro’s three locally designated historic districts.   

• Bobby McKinney of Conahan Window Restoration and Repair, LLC was honored for his outstanding craftsmanship in restoring and repairing original historic wood windows, as well as carefully replicating new windows throughout Greensboro’s three designated historic districts. 

• Amanda Albert and Inhabit Living Solutions received recognition for the restoration of the historic E.B. Mastin House in the Dunleath Historic District.
