Beginning Monday, June 8, Norfolk Southern crews are scheduled to begin rail replacement preparation work in Greensboro. The work will require temporary closures at multiple at-grade rail crossings, including Elm Street, South Dudley Street, Gillespie Street, South English Street, Holts Chapel Road, Pine Street, Lowdermilk Street, Franklin Boulevard, O'Ferrell Street, and Ward Road.

Crews will be unloading rail from trains and preparing the corridor for rail work scheduled to begin later this year. Closures at individual crossings are expected to last approximately 3-4 hours. Multiple crossings may be closed at the same time. Motorists should expect delays and follow posted detours.

Work schedules may change due to weather conditions or rail operation requirements.
