Post Date:08/10/2026 4:00 PMMeet some of North Carolina’s distinguished authors on Saturday, August 22, from 1:30-4 pm at Central Library, 219 N. Church St. This free event is an opportunity for readers to meet with local and regional authors of Adult, Young Adult, and Children’s books.
At 3 pm featured author Tita Ramirez will present her debut novel, Tell It to Me Singing. Ramírez grew up in Miami, the daughter of a Cuban exile and a Kentucky native. Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in LitHub, The Normal School, Black Warrior Review, and elsewhere. She currently lives in North Carolina and teaches creative writing at Elon University.
Authors scheduled to appear include Willa Brigham, J. Celano, Avery Groll, Eddie Huffman, Atiff Lloyd, T. R. Monroe, Airreia Pierce, Jennifer Reid Walker, and Altonya Washington. There will be books available for sale and signing by the authors.
