The City’s Planning Department will host a street takeover event for the third and final Spring Garden Street Corridor Plan open house. The block party will take place from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, September 12, on Reynolds Place in front of Revolution Cycles, 1907 Spring Garden St.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore plan recommendations developed during previous meetings and share ideas through a series of interactive activities. Community members can learn more about the planning process, connect with local vendors, and help shape a shared vision for the corridor’s future.
Public parking will be available at the City-owned lot located at 1730 W. Gate City Blvd.
In the event of rain, the open house will be held from 1-3 pm the same day at Lindley Recreation Center, 2907 Springwood Dr.
The plan encompasses the area along Spring Garden Street, from South Holden Road to South Josephine Boyd Street. Once developed and adopted, the Spring Garden Corridor Plan will act as a roadmap for City Council and staff as they work towards a more prosperous, safe, and closely-knit community.
