How to Meet the City's WBE Criteria
To be eligible for WBE status, your business must meet the following criteria.
- Be at least 51 percent owned and controlled by one or more non-minority woman.
- Be state certified as a WBE by one of these two state agencies:
~ NC Department of Administration - 984-236-0130
~ NC Department of Transportation - 984-236-1245
- Meet Greensboro’s criteria for WBEs -- Performs a “Commercially Useful Function,” Maintains a “Significant Business Presence,” Located within “Relevant Marketplace” -- as outlined on the City Criteria webpage.
Become a WBE Vendor
Begin the process to become a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) vendor with the City of Greensboro. All applications are handled virtually.
Start WBE application
After your information is reviewed and approved by staff, your firm will be listed in the City's Office of Business Opportunity Certified Vendor List. At that point, it will be eligible for WBE participation on City contracts.
