The Budget and Evaluation Department conducts performance evaluations and management studies of various City services and programming. These studies are used by department directors, the City Manager's Office, and City Council to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, staffing levels, and management practices.
Annually, Budget and Evaluation prepares a Property Tax Rate and User Fee Report comparing Greensboro's property tax rate and major user fees to those charged in other large North Carolina cities. This report allows for more accurate comparisons in costs of municipal services charged to property owners.
