Changes to PB
Earlier this year, City Council created a Participatory Budgeting Commission to replace the PB steering committee. City Council also updated the process so that every PB cycle will now take two years: one year for idea collection, project vetting and public voting, and a second year for City staff to design and build the winning projects.
The City is currently in the middle of Cycle 2. The project implementation year began July 2018. The new Cycle 3 will begin in spring 2019.
