About the RAH Program
Creative Greensboro, the City’s office of arts and culture, is accepting new proposals from individuals and organizations to be in residency at the Stephen D. Hyers Theatre at the Greensboro Cultural Center. The priority application window is open until December 8, 2025. Applicants should first download and read the guidelines, then reach out to performing arts coordinator Todd Fisher.
The Residency at the Hyers program will provide a rent-free, 1-8 week residency for dance, theatre, music, and poetry projects being led by Guilford County based creative individuals and organizations. In addition to access to the 88-seat black box theater for rehearsals and performances, resident artists will be offered support with materials, equipment, technical theater staff, marketing of residency activities, and a $300 a week stipend.
About the Residency at the Hyers
The Residency at the Hyers supports Creative Greensboro’s mission by promoting broader access, increased usage, and a more diverse range of partners presenting creative programming at the Greensboro Cultural Center. This Residency is designed to identify and showcase emerging and mid-career artists and cultural organizations, foster the growth, resilience, and programmatic reach of creative professionals, and expand access to facilities for artists and arts organizations.
