Facilities, a division of the Engineering and Inspections Department, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all City-owned buildings by providing mechanical, structural, and custodial services.
Facilities division is also overseeing construction services for the renovation and new construction of city facilities , such as libraries, fire and police stations.
This division also manages an energy program for its facilities.
Buildings maintained by Facilities Division include:
Greensboro Cultural Center, Greensboro Historical Museum, J. Douglas Galyon Depot, J. Edward Kitchen Operation Center, Public Libraries, Melvin Municipal Office Building, Parks and Recreation facilities, police and fire substations, Police Headquarters, Public Safety Center, Service Center.
