Task Force Committee Guidelines

The Task Force Committee will work alongside City staff for a year, beginning April 30, 2025, and continuing through April 2026. The group will develop, evaluate, and recommend strategies, policies, and partnerships that drive the success of this initiative. The committee will play an integral role in shaping housing policy, assessing development opportunities, and identifying solutions to increase housing availability.

Responsibilities

The committee serves in an advisory capacity to City staff, offering recommendations. City staff will draft key documents, reports, and presentations for approval by the City Council, Planning & Zoning Commission, and other relevant boards/commissions.

Task Force Committee members will actively participate in achieving the following objectives:

Evaluate policy and zoning recommendations to support housing expansion

Engage community stakeholders to ensure an inclusive process

Assist in development of a blueprint for leveraging funding and collaborations
