The duties of the Minimum Housing Standards Commission are to:
Hear and determine appeals from decisions of a City Code Compliance Inspector based on Chapter 11 of the City's Code of Ordinances
Study the need for reconditioning or condemnation, and other housing conditions within the city, and make recommendations to City Council concerning such matters
Perform other duties as may be assigned by City Council

When and where are the meetings?
MHSC meetings are held in-person at 1:30 pm the third Wednesday of every month in Council Chamber, Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St.
