The City of Greensboro is committed to treating all persons with dignity, respect, and fairness, and ensuring its actions comply with local, state, and federal laws. In this regard, the City supports and complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not discriminate against qualified individuals on the basis of disability in City services, programs, or activities.

Sherria High ADA Coordinator Sherria D. High | ADA Coordinator Sherria has worked with the City of Greensboro for over 27 years, where she currently serves as the ADA Coordinator, leading citywide initiatives to promote accessibility, inclusion, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance across all municipal departments, facilities, and programs. She oversees the City’s ADA Transition Plan and Grievance Committee while managing ADA casework and overarching city-wide ADA initiatives.

Prior to this role, Sherria served as the Deputy Director of Transit Operations for the Greensboro Transit Agency (GTA) where she was responsible for overseeing state and federal compliance, and inclusive transit service delivery for the citizens of Greensboro, including those with disabilities. This provides her with a unique perspective on the intersection of disabilities, mobility, and equity.

In the role of ADA Coordinator, she also acts as the City’s liaison to the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities and leads the City’s ADA Liaison Group, ensuring Greensboro remains a leader in advancing equitable participation for all residents.
