Large appliances are collected by appointment. Call 373-CITY (2489) to schedule pickup.
Remove or secure appliance doors so small children cannot be injured or trapped inside. All food and debris must be removed prior to collection. Items must be at the curb by 7 am on your appointment day.
Appliances are not collected from businesses or apartments and can be taken to the Guilford County Scrap Tire and White Goods Collection Facility.
The collection truck uses a mechanical arm to lift the discarded appliance. So, for safety reasons, don't place appliances under low hanging wires or tree limbs.
Small appliances, like toaster ovens and microwaves, should be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste Center.
