APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

The Greensboro Fire Citizens’ Academy is designed to give you greater insight into your fire department. The GFCA is an 8-week program where you interactively learn about what happens behind the scenes in multiple departments within the GFD. 

Each session will be informative and hands on. The program is set to begin on July 31, 2025 and will run with sessions every Thursday evening 6-8:30 pm. 

The 2025 program participants will have mask optional, socially distanced students attending in-person. Your safety and the safety of our firefighters is our first priority.

Applications must have been completed by close of business (5 pm) on Friday, May 30, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this deadline. All participants must be over the age of 18 to participate in the program. As a condition of applying to the GFCA, you consent to a criminal background check. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All participants will be notified by Friday, June 13, 2025 if they have been selected or not.
