Housing Connect GSO’s Homebuyer Assistance Program is a source of financial assistance for low- and moderate-income homebuyers. The program has expanded to offer two more options to interested residents.

To be eligible for any of the three program offerings below, you must:

  • Be a first-time homebuyer or have not owned a home within the last three years
  • Buy a new or existing house as your primary residence
  • Buy a home located within Greensboro city limits

Program Offerings
For households with incomes at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI)
For Public Service Heroes with household incomes above 80 & below 120 percent AMI
For #100Homes with household incomes above 80 & below 120 percent AMI


Redevelopment / Reinvestment Areas

Properties must be within the boundaries of the following approved areas to receive an assistance bonus:

  • Dudley Heights
  • Eastside Park
  • Glenwood
  • Kings Forest
  • Mill District
  • Ole Asheboro
  • Random Woods
  • Willow Oaks
