About the Home Repair GSO Program

The Home Repair GSO Program, approved by Greensboro City Council on November 15, 2022, was created to address the repair needs of low-income homeowners. The program: 

  • Focuses on repairing major housing code, structural, and safety issues  

  • Helps low-income homeowners fix major issues, improve safety and accessibility, and prevent future damage while working with other local housing programs

  • Provides grants of up to $20,000, focused on repair of essential systems

  • Allows eligible homeowners to receive one repair grant every 10 years
