Initially created as a standard subcommittee of the Human Relations Commission and chaired by one individual, the IAC was restructured in 2015 to allow the immigrant and refugee community to elect a leadership team of five members.

The fourth biennial IAC election will take place in 2021. This event features a free resource fair and newcomer workshops in 6 different languages sponsored by Greensboro City Council. Guests are provided with critical information that will enhance their quality of life, health and safety.

Voter Requirements

  • Must be high school students or older
  • Must be residents of Greensboro
  • Photo ID not required
